As we officially launch the Liberia National Debate Championship (LNDC) on the 25th of January across the fifteen counties of Liberia, we have decided to use LNDC as a platform to create awareness on the importance of debate by empowering students to become potential leaders into their future through the sound of music.
As an institution, we believe an organized debate is the best way to resolve dispute, violence and could possibly serve as a remedy to improve Liberian students public speaking, engagement and presentation skills.
We hope that every student participating in the championship this academic year will feel apart of the process and will truly realize how sweet intellectuality is.
In 2015, when we initiated Liberia National high school Debate championship, our mission was to eradicate Super Friday and promote academic Friday among high school students in Monrovia.
Fast forward to 2019, our mission still remain the same, but on a larger scale it has expanded to intellectualizing Friday across the fifteen counties. It has become a ground for positive change among high school students and a place that showcase the eloquence of Liberian students. We have become a National Championship that discovers, nurtures, avail, and launches potential Leaders into their futures.
This year, we will use music as another form of awareness. We are proud to have been joined by Artists like L’Frankie, JB of the soul fresh crew, sensational Abigail and with the powerful voice of our Brand Ambassador of Change (Satta Sheriff). Watch out for the most bookish yet danceable song in 2019.
